The Plainsman - 1938 (Matt)
This was my first cowboy guitar and a fine specimen to start my collection with. The plainsman guitar was made by Ritcher in Chicago
between 1938 and 1943, featuring a scene taken from the Gary Cooper movie of the same title. They came in two sizes, standard and 3/4, this being standard.
This guitar was pretty straight and clean when I got it, a bit of a set up, and it was playable. I'm hoping to restore this one and retain its original tailpiece,
looks before tone on this one. I have seen four different versions of the plainsman, grey, bronze, blonde and brown burst.
Grey
Bronze
Blonde

The Plainsman - 1938 (Luke)
Well, not much to add to what Matt has already said, except that this one is mine, and therefore better! I can't wait to have this one and my 3/4 up and running togher,
I'll go for a pin bridge on both.
